About Word Lock
Word Lock is a daily word-guessing game. Find the hidden English word in six tries; after each guess, green marks a correct letter in the right spot, yellow a correct letter elsewhere and grey a letter that is not in the word.
Play a new daily puzzle every day, or pick Easy, Medium or Hard in practice mode for unlimited puzzles.
How to play
- Guess the hidden English word in 6 tries. Every guess must be a real word.
- Green right letter, right spot; Yellow in the word but elsewhere; Grey not in the word.
- Practice: Easy 4 letters, Medium 5, Hard 6.
Reset only clears the current row. A hint reveals one letter.
Type letters on your keyboard and press Enter.
Tips & strategies
- Open with a word full of common letters like E, A, R, S and T.
- Do not reuse grey letters.
- Think about common endings like -ER, -ED and -ING.

Yes. A new daily puzzle arrives at midnight (your local time) and everyone gets the same one. Missed days can be played from the archive.
Do I need to sign up or install anything?
No. Daily Brain runs in your browser. You can add it to your home screen and it keeps working offline after the first visit. Progress is stored only on your device.
Are there difficulty levels and hints?
Practice mode offers Easy, Medium and Hard with unlimited new puzzles. Hints are available when you get stuck and are recorded in your result.
