Tower of Hanoi
A new random position every day — move the tower in the fewest moves.
About Tower of Hanoi
Tower of Hanoi is the classic recursive puzzle: move all disks to the rightmost peg, one at a time, never placing a larger disk on a smaller one. Here every day starts from a different random position, and the minimum number of moves is shown.
Play a new daily puzzle every day, or pick Easy, Medium or Hard in practice mode for unlimited puzzles.
How to play
- Move one disk at a time — only the top disk of a peg.
- A larger disk may never sit on a smaller one.
- Move every disk onto the rightmost peg. Each day starts from a different position, with the minimum shown.
Easy 4 disks, Medium 5, Hard 6. A hint shows the optimal next move.
Tap a peg to lift its top disk, then tap another peg to drop it. Keys 1 / 2 / 3 work too.
Tips & strategies
- Work out where the largest disk has to go first.
- To move a disk, all smaller disks must first gather on the third peg.
- The smallest disk moves every other turn, always in the same direction.
