Code Breaker

Black and white pegs point the way to the hidden color code.

About Code Breaker

Code Breaker is the classic color-code deduction game. Guess the hidden sequence of colored beads; after each guess, black pegs count beads with the right color in the right place and white pegs count right colors in the wrong place.

Play a new daily puzzle every day, or pick Easy, Medium or Hard in practice mode for unlimited puzzles.

How to play

  1. Guess a hidden code of colored beads (Medium: 4 beads, 6 colors, repeats allowed).
  2. After each guess: a black peg for each bead with the right color in the right place, a white peg for each right color in the wrong place — but not which ones.
  3. Easy: no repeats, 10 tries. Medium: repeats, 8 tries. Hard: 5 beads, 8 colors, 10 tries.

Reset clears the current row; a hint fills in the next correct color.
