Sliding Tiles
Slide the tiles into order in as few moves as possible.
About Sliding Tiles
Sliding Tiles is the classic 15 puzzle in three sizes. Slide tiles into the gap until the numbers run in order with the empty space in the bottom-right corner. Small boards show the minimum number of moves for a real challenge.
Play a new daily puzzle every day, or pick Easy, Medium or Hard in practice mode for unlimited puzzles.
How to play
- Put the tiles in order 1, 2, 3 … left to right, top to bottom, with the gap in the bottom-right.
- Only tiles in line with the gap can slide; pushing several counts one move per tile.
- Easy is 3×3 (with minimum moves and hints), Medium 4×4, Hard 5×5.
Reset restores the start but keeps your count; Undo takes moves back.
Tap a tile in the same row or column as the gap to slide it (several at once). Arrow keys work too.
Tips & strategies
- Solve the top row first, then the left column, and repeat on the smaller board.
- Place the last two tiles of a row together using a small loop.
- Never break up a finished row to fix another.
